How to reach Hôtel de la Cité

TRANSFERS and DIRECTIONS

Carcassonne Airport (CCF) : 10 minutes by car to the hotel. Flights scheduled to and from London Stansted, Liverpool, East Midlands, Dublin, Shannon, Edinburgh, Brussels-Charleroi and Porto airports to Carcassonne.
Carcassonne railway station :  5 minutes by car to the hotel.
Nearest major airport : Toulouse - Blagnac Airport (TLS) in Toulouse – 60 minutes by car to Carcassonne.
Taking the train from Toulouse : A shuttle bus service runs every 20 minutes from Blagnac Airport (Toulouse) to Toulouse Railway Station. Shuttle travelling time: approx. 25 minutes, depending on traffic. Train Toulouse – Carcassonne: approx. 1 hour (several trains during the day).

Driving instructions :

If you are coming by car, the best way to reach Carcassonne would be to take the motorway A61 and exit at Carcassonne Est (East Carcassonne). Follow the road signs for La Cité or Cité Médiévale. You will arrive just outside the Medieval Citadel (Cité Médiévale) and Hôtel de la Cité is located within, next to the Basilica of Saint Nazaire.

• To access the hotel:

As traffic is strictly regulated inside the medieval citadel from 10am to 8pm, you should drive to the complimentary car park reserved for hotel guests, situated just outside the citadel walls. When you arrive in front of the main entrance to the medieval citadel with its drawbridge, follow the panels indicating “Parking Clients Hôtels", along the road going around the citadel's old cemetry. To find the car park on your GPS, enter the address Chemin des Anglais and the co-ordinates 43.206501 – 2.363455.

You will arrive at a large car park with an automatic barrier and an interphone. Press the button to call Hôtel de la Cité. The hotel's Reception staff will raise the barrier to allow you to enter the car park. Our shuttle will be on its way to transfer you up to the hotel.

• Parking :

The hotel has a private secured car park available at the rate of 15 euros per night. If you wish to park your car there; please leave your car keys with our car jockey or at the hotel's Reception Desk when you chek in. You car will be transferred to the secured car park after 7 pm. When you check out, our car jockey will drive you to your car in the hotel's shuttle.
