From 4 to 21 September 2025, the Villa San Michele, nestling in the heart of the Hôtel de la Cité, will be hosting the exhibition
"Au fil de l'eau", featuring works by Ariane Parayre and André Mignot.
Water, distant horizons, winding paths and unexpected encounters are at the heart of this exhibition. Ariane Pareyre's canvases and drawings are often born of a hesitant step on a damp path, a stream followed at random, or a line that calls for another. With no prior plan, the artist lets the imagination drift: time expands, space unfolds, and the enigma takes hold.
In response to this intuitive and sensitive approach, André Mignot also explores fluidity and light, but through his own pictorial language. His works interact with Ariane's, creating a visual journey in which water becomes mirror, horizon, material and memory.
All in all, it's an invitation to walk, to look, and sometimes to get lost - as if carried away by the current.
